Burma Ruby Diamond and Pearl Brooch in 14 Karat Gold

A late Victorian brooch circa 1900, featuring a cushion cut shape Burmese ruby with a strong pinkish red hue adorned with old mine cut diamonds. The ruby has an estimated weight of 0.40 carats, the diamonds weigh approximately 1.40 carats GH color and VS-SI clarity. The pendant set in 14-karat yellow gold has a small hoop at its center making it optional to add a pendant. The overall condition of the brooch is excellent. The bigger stones are bezel set with milgrain work. The pearl is salt water and measures 5 millimeters. The brooch has a gross weight is 5.3 grams and measures 1.65” long.
